Cleanlake is a leading supplier of EU certified waste-based biofuel for the production of biodiesel. We have been in the business for 25 years and have gained extensive experience and knowledge in sourcing, tooling and supply chain management of biofuel. Our commitment to quality management and sustainability has made us a trusted and reliable partner for our clients. At Cleanlake, we understand the importance complying to constant changes in sustainability mandates and apply blockchain technology to prove the origin of our feedstock.
Cleanlake is certified by the ISCC system – The International Sustainability & Carbon Certification. It is a globally applicable sustainability certification system, recognized by the European Commission as a certification scheme for sustainability and emission of greenhouse gases (GHG) in accordance with the European Directive for Renewable Energies (REDII).
We have boots on the ground in Asia and Europe, with our own offices located close to the sourcing points and to our customers. This allows us to ensure a steady supply, quality and traceability of all our products. Our headquarters are in Scandinavia, and we are well acquainted with EU and country-specific environmental regulations, to provide the certificates and sustainability documents required for compliance.
All our products are sustainable and ISCC certified, registered through Nabisy and blockchain technology, with good greenhouse gas savings, and can also be Dutch double counting (DDC) or UKDC if required.
To ensure quality and transparency, we work with first-class independent surveyors from international agencies like Intertek, SGS, Dekra, Norsk Veritas, TUV, and Control Union.

- Free trade agreement between Indonesia / Malaysia and Europe for feedstocks – Zero import duty compared to 2% Import duty on UCO imports from China.
- Lower pricing: savings compared to UCO prices.
- POME biodiesel comes under Annex IX of advanced biofuel and there is a pricing difference between Advanced and double-counted. Advanced demands higher premium over double-counted.
REFINED POME
- We supply processed POME for the industry.
- We can supply demetalised POME for HVO production, and we can also esterify the POME to obtain a lower FFA, if required. We have long-term agreements with quality toolers that can process our waste-based feedstocks to convert them into optimised feedstocks to meet specific requirements.
